Measure attention on web pages in real-time

Until now, website publishers who wanted to learn more about the distribution of attention on their site, faced a challenge. Either they made use of elaborate usability tests under laboratory conditions with Eye Gaze Tracking tools to gather detailed one-time data, or they turned to traditional web analytics tools that collect a variety of data, which, however, due to methodological shortcomings cannot be easily translated into concrete recommendations for the daily business. Meetrics closes this gap for publishers, by offering them a continuous real-time monitoring of the attention focus of their site visitors that can support them in their daily content decisions.

The Meetrics technology is available in the following fields of application:

For Publishers: Reporting the Performance of teasers in real time

The Meetrics News Attention Monitor is a web-based reporting tool, that shows in real-time the performance of individual teasers on the homepage of your website. The system registers to how many visitors a teaser became visible and compares this number with the number of people of have read or clicked this teaser. The result is calculated directly and displayed graphically in a user-performance bar. Since Meetrics automatically reads the information about every teaser from the page no CMS integration is required! A simple comparison of the teaser performance at different positions on the home page allows for a quick identification of successful content and hidden champions (teasers which only because of their positioning outside the initial visible range do generate fewer clicks). By repositioning these teasers, they are made more accessible to visitors, which leads to more clicks and thereby extends the dwell time on the portal! News Attention Monitor Screenshot

For marketers: Ad Visibility - do not lose sight of your ads

About 30% of delivered ads are never visible. The Meetrics Ad Attention Monitor allows for an accurate and rapid feedback on the visibility of advertising space. You get the information how long an ad was visible on the screen for the user (if it got visible after all). The concurrent recording of user activity can furthermore be used to verify the presence of the user in front of the ad. For publishers, the average view time can be shown for any ad space, segmented by category, time of day or ad creative. Meetrics also offers the possibility to integrate these values into an existing campaign monitoring tool. Beispielauswertung Werbesichtbarkeit

This inexpensive and simple recruitment process provides market researchers with new options to analyze the behaviour of internet users. Another option to analyze the reading habits of internet users is provided by panel studies, which also enables market researchers to combine the collected data with sociodemographic information or additional surveys.
